I recently shot with Joy Elizabeth from Lakeland and I must say, she was truly a joy to work with. Zinger!! Get it, a “joy”!? You know… like her name…
Sorry, that won’t happen again…
All corny jokes aside, I’m very surprised that Joy and I became friends after this shoot. ‘Why’ you ask? Well, first I accidentally had her stand in a huge ant pile. Shortly thereafter, I positioned her directly onto a nest of those spiky thistles that get stuck to your pants and shoe laces (I hate those things!). Conveniently, she was barefooted at the time of both events. FAIL
After plucking 20 or so thistles out of her ant-bite-covered feet, she still managed to pull off a great shoot without a single complaint. Our luck turned around completely by the end of the day when we were treated with a light sun shower which resulted in my favorite image from the shoot. Check ‘em out!
